App – Receive an Appointment Request

Before You Begin

  • The event must have Chat and Appointments enabled.
  • Profile sharing must be enabled for both users.
  • If Profile Sharing is disabled, appointment requests cannot be sent or received.

How You Know an Appointment Was Sent

  • You receive a notification that an appointment request was sent.
  • The request appears inline within the chat conversation.
  • The appointment card shows the title, date, time, location, notes, and status.

Step 1: Open the Appointment Request

  • Navigate to the relevant Chat conversation within the event app.
  • Select the Appointment Card within the Chat thread.
  • The Appointment Summary modal opens with full details.

Step 2: Review the Details

  • Review the date, time, duration, location, and any notes included by the sender.

Step 3: Accept or Decline

  • Tap Accept to confirm the meeting.  The appointment is added to your schedule.  If you have chosen to add items to your device calendar, the appointment will also be added to your device calendar.
  • Tap Decline to reject the request.  You may continue the conversation to suggest a different time.

After You Respond

  • The sender is notified of your decision.
  • The Appointment Status updates in real time within the chat.

Helpful Notes

  • Appointment Details cannot be edited once sent.
  • All appointment activity remains visible within the Chat.
