Mass Create Functions

To Mass Create Functions, navigate to the "Functions" page using the icon at the top of any page in Logistics.  Then, select the "ADD FUNCTION(S)" button toward the upper left-hand corner of the page (Fig. 1).

In the pop-up window, select the "Mass Create Functions" button to continue to the Function editor (Fig. 2).

On the pop-up window, select the Function Type that will be applied to all Functions that you are about to create.  Please note that Function Types must first be created on the "Functions" page prior to mass creating Functions.  Please see Add New Function Types.

Then, select a date for the Functions you are intending to create.  Select the "Add" button to add the date to the list below.  Select a start and end time for the Functions.  The end time will automatically calculate based on the duration set for the Function Type.  However, you can override the duration and adjust the length.  Select the "Continue" button to choose Rooms (Fig. 3).

For the above example, all Functions created using this tool will be Board Meetings on October 23, 2027, from 9:00AM to 12:00PM.  On the next step, you will assign new Functions to the Rooms.

On this step, assign new Functions you are creating to Rooms.  Rooms will be bucketed by assigned Buildings, and will display the Room Type, capacity and description, if these items have been added and assigned to the Room.  Please note that Rooms MUST be added to the "Setup" page to use the Mass Create Functions tool.  Please see Add New Rooms.  A new Function will be created for each room that you select on this page.  Once all Rooms have been selected, select the "CREATE FUNCTIONS" button (Fig. 4.

For the above example, and the information selected on the first step, the following functions will be created:

  • Board Meeting - October 23, 2027 - 9:00AM -12:00PM - Room 1
  • Board Meeting - October 23, 2027 - 9:00AM -12:00PM - Room 7
  • Board Meeting - October 23, 2027 - 9:00AM -12:00PM - Room 5
  • Board Meeting - October 23, 2027 - 9:00AM -12:00PM - Room 6

If October 24, 2027, is also selected on the first step, four additional Functions will be created.

  • Board Meeting - October 24, 2027 - 9:00AM -12:00PM - Room 1
  • Board Meeting - October 24, 2027 - 9:00AM -12:00PM - Room 7
  • Board Meeting - October 24, 2027 - 9:00AM -12:00PM - Room 5
  • Board Meeting - October 24, 2027 - 9:00AM -12:00PM - Room 6

If October 23, 2027, October 24, 2027, 9:00AM -12:00PM, and 3:00 PM - 6:00PM were chosen on the first step, sixteen different Functions will be created:

  • Board Meeting - October 23, 2027 - 9:00AM -12:00PM - Room 1
  • Board Meeting - October 23, 2027 - 9:00AM -12:00PM - Room 7
  • Board Meeting - October 23, 2027 - 9:00AM -12:00PM - Room 5
  • Board Meeting - October 23, 2027 - 9:00AM -12:00PM - Room 6
  • Board Meeting - October 23, 2027 - 3:00PM - 6:00PM - Room 1
  • Board Meeting - October 23, 2027 - 3:00PM - 6:00PM - Room 7
  • Board Meeting - October 23, 2027 - 3:00PM - 6:00PM - Room 5
  • Board Meeting - October 23, 2027 - 3:00PM - 6:00PM - Room 6
  • Board Meeting - October 24, 2027 - 9:00AM -12:00PM - Room 1
  • Board Meeting - October 24, 2027 - 9:00AM -12:00PM - Room 7
  • Board Meeting - October 24, 2027 - 9:00AM -12:00PM - Room 5
  • Board Meeting - October 24, 2027 - 9:00AM -12:00PM - Room 6

You are NOT able to change the Function Type when selecting different dates, times, and rooms.  Please create all Functions with the same Function Type on the same use of the tool.  Add the new Functions, then re-open the tool to create more than one Function for a different Function Type.
