From the Control Center of your meeting, select e-Marketing under the Communications header. If you have not already set up the content of your message, go to the Message Library tab to create your message.
When you are ready to send your message, go to the e-Marketing Plan tab and select one of the following options:
- Schedule: to send your message to a mailing list
- Create Custom Registration Mailing: to send your message to your current registrants, with the option to filter based on the fee they have purchased
Schedule
The schedule pop-up will include the following fields:
- Send Date/Time: specify a future date and time to send the message; optional--if you are sending the message immediately, you may leave this field blank
- Message: Choose the Message that you would like to send. If there are no messages available to choose, create an E-Marketing message.
- Recipient: Decide which Mailing List you want to use in your campaign. A Mailing List can come from a variety of origins: you can build one from scratch; you can Import a Mailing List from a file on your PC (the Import File function); or you can use a Registration Mailing List, which EventRebels automatically creates and represents all the registrants for a given meeting. The recipient field shows the available Mailing Lists that you can select.
- Condition: You can use the Condition field of the popup screen to send messages to a specific subset of the E-Marketing Plan's Mailing List. The default Condition is "None" which means that the message is sent to everyone on the Mailing List. You can also restrict the Conditions based on whether or not someone has registered, and likewise with attendance. For example, you can send a Thank You note after the event to everyone who attended.
- Do not check for duplicates: By default, email addresses that have already received a specific message will not be sent subsequent emails containing the same message in an effort to prevent spamming. Use this setting if you wish to allow email addresses to receive the same message twice.
Once you have finished filling in the details, click Schedule to send at a future date/time or Send Now to start processing the email immediately.
Create Custom Registration Mailing
Similar to the Schedule pop-up, the Create Custom Registration Mailing window will have the Send Date/Time, Message, Condition, and Do not check for duplicates fields. Instead of a Recipient field, this window will have a list of the registration fees available in the meeting. Check all to send to all of your registrants. Check specific registration fees to only send to those who have purchased that fee.
Once you have finished filling in the details, click Schedule to send at a future date/time or Send Now to start processing the email immediately.
