1. To import a Mailing List file, from the Home page, under the "Meetings" header, click on the meeting name that you want to import the file into.
2. Then, click "Maintain List" from the Communication menu.
You can import an existing mailing list from you computer to our system, as long as it is in a supported format; formats we support are:
- Comma Separated Variable length files (CSV) (Recommended)
- Tab delimited files
- Fixed width text files (many mainframe files are in this format)
3. Scroll to the bottom of the "Mailing List" page.
4. Select the appropriate format from the drop down list (CSV, Tab or Fixed) and click "Import". A popup window will appear that allows you to specify the details of the import file format.
5. In the popup window, determine and enter the order in which your data columns appear in your file. (example below is for a.csv import) If the first column in your spreadsheet contains the first name, for example, enter a "1" in the field next to "First Name". For fixed width files, you must also determine the widths of the data columns.
6. Click "Browse" to find the location of the file on your computer.
7. Enter the name for the new mailing list
8. Leave the "Make List Available for All Meetings" if you want people using other meetings to have access to this list.
8. Press the "Import" button on the popup window to begin the import process.
9. The list will now appear on your Mailing Lists screen.
