The Download Task can be used to create and provide certificates to attendees, which is the most common use for this Task. Other Download Types include Files and Web Links.
These instructions will walk you through how to add, edit, and activate a Download Task.
To add a Download Task, first locate the Tasks page from the Survey Magnet administrative dashboard. Select the ADD NEW TASK button toward the upper left-hand corner of the page (Fig. 1).

On the pop-up window, select Download from the drop down menu then the ADD TASK button (Fig. 2).

Within the Task Editor (Fig. 3), start by entering a Title for the Task. This will be the name of the Task the end user will see on their Task List.
Enter the Due Date for the Task. The Due Date is strictly a visual reference that will show at the end of a Task on the user’s Task List, and is NOT enforced. The text color will change to red after the Due Date has passed.
Adjust the Status from Inactive to Active. Any Task marked as Inactive will NOT show on the end user's Task List.
Enter a number for the Task Order. Typically, a Download Task is used so a user can download their certificate after they have completed any required Assessments. Therefore, the Download Task should be the last Task on the Task List.

The Select Your Certificate dropdown allows you to select the certificate that you would like to use for this task. This field will show all the active certificate designs that you have created for either this even or all your events (multi-certificates). If you have not yet designed a certificate you can start creating them by going to the Power Tools page and then select the Certificates card.
Choose which Credit Selection Task to Pull Credits From. The drop down will default to "All Credit Selection Tasks." However, if needed, you can choose to have the Download Task link to a specific Credit Selection Task.
For the Task Dependencies drop down, you can choose if a Task must be completed before the Task you are currently editing is made available to the User. For example, if the Profile Task shown in the screenshot below should be completed before a User starts on the Credit Selection Task, toggle the drop down to the Profile Task Title.
To Supress showing the due date to users? for the Task from showing to end users, toggle the drop down shown in the screenshot below to Yes.
To update the Certificate Filename, type or paste the file name within the field shown in the screenshot below. The name entered will override the default certificate.pdf name.
Be sure to select the Update Task button to save your updates.
