Join fees with the same registration category to get different fees to have the same capacities or to be consolidated on a number of summary reports, including Option Detail/Summary reports. By default, the registration category set will be identical to the original fee name. If/when a fee's name has been changed, the registration category is not automatically updated.
- Navigate to the Fee Schedule
- Click on Registration Categories at the bottom of the page.
- The Registration Categories page will show the following columns:
- Fee Name
- Registration Category
- Badge Display
- Locate the fee(s) for which you would like to update the registration category.
- Change the value in the middle column.
- Click Save at the bottom of the page.
NOTE
If you would like fees to share the same capacity, they will need to be set to an identical registration category.
Example
I would like to sell tickets to an awards dinner at a lower rate to members. I set up a $95 rate for members and a $100 rate for non-members (Fig. 1).
I've set each fee to a cut-off limit of 100. By default, that would mean I could sell 100 at the member rate and 100 at the non-member rate. However, I want to only sell 100 total tickets across the two rates.
In order to set the fees to share their cut-off limit, I will need to go to the Registration Categories and give them identical Registration Categories. Their default categories are "Awards Dinner - Member Rate" and "Awards Dinner - Non-Member Rate." I change both to "Awards Dinner" (Fig. 2).
Now that the Registration Category for both items is set to "Awards Dinner" they will share the cut-off limit of 100.
