Communications Module - Resending Campaign

Sometimes a single recipient needs another copy of an email you already sent — maybe their address had a temporary problem, or they asked you to send it again. Send Again lets you do that from your campaign results, one recipient at a time. This article explains how Send Again works and how to use it.

IMPORTANT NOTE

Send Again works one recipient at a time. It creates a copy of the original campaign addressed to only the recipient you choose, and opens that copy as a new draft. Nothing sends until you send or schedule the draft yourself.

How to send a campaign again

  1. Open the results for the campaign you already sent to reach the Campaign Analytics page.
  2. In the recipient table, find the person you want to email again.
  3. Select the actions menu (the three-dot icon) at the end of that recipient’s row.
  4. Choose Send Again.

A copy of the campaign opens as a new draft, and a confirmation message lets you know the campaign has been duplicated. From there, review or edit the draft, then send or schedule it.

What happens when you send again

Send Again doesn’t resend the original email on its own. Instead, it gives you a fresh copy to work from:

  • It creates a new draft copy of the original campaign, named “{original name} (copy)”.
  • It sets the copy’s recipient list to just the one recipient you selected.
  • It opens the copy in the campaign editor, so you can update the message or make any other changes first.
  • You send or schedule the copy when you’re ready — it never sends automatically.

Because the copy is a normal draft, you can treat it like any other campaign: edit the subject or content, send it right away, or schedule it for later.

When Send Again is available

Send Again appears in a recipient’s actions menu only once that recipient’s message has finished sending — for example, when it was delivered, dropped, or had a temporary bounce. It won’t appear while a message is still in progress.

You may notice Send Again on some Bounced rows but not others. An address that bounced temporarily can be emailed again, but an address that bounced permanently (such as an invalid email) can’t, so Send Again is hidden for those recipients.

NOTE

If the recipient was removed from the Lead Capture list after the original send, Send Again can’t reach them. You’ll see the message “Message cannot be resent. User unavailable.”
