Changing the Lead Capture Type for a Booth

Lead Capture is available to select customers. If enabled for a customer account, you will be contacted by your Project Manager with more information. If available to exhibitors, you will be notified by the event organizer.

The event organizer can set the Lead Capture type for each booth to determine whether the exhibitor will use the Lead Capture Mobile App or the Eventscribe Developer Kit API. It also configures what the exhibitor will see when they log in to the Lead Capture Exhibitor Portal. 


Lead Capture Types

License

For booths wanting to use the Eventscribe Lead Capture Mobile App for lead collection, they will need licenses. Event organizers can manually allocate licenses or the exhibitor can purchase licenses in the Lead Capture Exhibitor Portal (if sales features are included in the contract). Once licenses are allocated, exhibitors can access their license quantity and unique activation code directly within the exhibitor portal.

The exhibitor portal serves as the central hub for customization and management. Exhibitors can configure custom tags and questions to tailor the lead retrieval experience for booth staff. Additionally, they can download receipts for their purchases (if applicable) and detailed lead and scan data reports to track their booth's lead generation performance. 

NOTE

By default, all exhibitors are assigned the type 'License'.

Developer Kit

For exhibitors wanting to use their own lead retrieval software, API access is available. Event organizers can manually allocate a Developer Kit or the exhibitor can purchase one in the Lead Capture Exhibitor Portal (if sales features are included in the contract). Once a Developer Kit has been allocated, an exhibitor can access their unique API Key and API documentation directly within the exhibitor portal.

IMPORTANT NOTE

Developer Kits should only be offered to exhibitors capable of setting up their own integrations. For more details, refer to this article.

When a booth does not have Lead Capture access, their type should be set to 'None'. The exhibitor will see a message in the Lead Capture Exhibitor Portal indicating that Lead Capture has not been enabled for their booth.


Changing the Lead Capture Type

As mentioned above, all exhibitors are initially assigned the type 'License'. To change the Lead Capture type, follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to the Summary page in the Lead Capture Admin Portal. 
  2. Use the checkbox to select one or more exhibitor(s).
    • To select all exhibitors at once, use the checkbox in the header row next to Company Name.
  3. Select the Change Type button.

  1. Use the dropdown menu to choose the type.
  2. Select the Save button to apply the change.

IMPORTANT NOTE

If a booth's type has been changed, the exhibitor must log out and back in to the Lead Capture Exhibitor Portal to see the updated view.
