This Power Tool can be used to sideload building and room data for both levels of Logistics. Standard Logistics is needed to sideload resource types, resources, and team member data.
The Sideload Data Power Tool uses a step-by-step interface allowing you to quickly sideload data into Logistics. This tool is used to update existing data entries and should not be used to add NEW data entries. For example, you can use the Sideload Data Power Tool to sideload room descriptions. But you cannot use the Sideload Tool to add NEW rooms to Logistics. To add new data entries, check out the Import Data Tool on page 90.
To sideload data, navigate to Power Tools by selecting the icon at the top center on any Logistics page. Then, select the "Sideload Data" tile (Fig. 1).

On the next page, you will see a list of any new, completed, or reversed sideloads.
- A new sideload indicates that a sideload has been started, and fields have been mapped, but the data has not been saved.
- A completed sideload indicates that existing data has been changed or altered with data from your uploaded spreadsheet.
- A reversed sideload indicates that a sideload was completed and data was updated, but an administrator has chosen to reverse those changes.
To start a new sideload, select the “NEW SIDELOAD” button toward the upper lefthand corner of the page. Then, select the type of sideload from the drop-down menu. For example, “Rooms Sideload" (Fig. 2).

Step 1 - Upload Spreadsheet
Drag the sideload file to the drop zone. Or select the drop zone, and locate the import within your file explorer. Enter a name for the sideload. If the spreadsheet has multiple tabs, or worksheets, choose the correct worksheet name from the drop-down menu.
Additionally, you will need to select the unique identifier to match the records from your spreadsheet.
Next, choose the unique identifier from the spreadsheet to match the Logistics field. Then, select the blue “Continue to Step 2” button (Fig. 3).

Step 2 - Map Fields
Choose the database field from the drop-down menu to map the spreadsheet column. You may notice that the Sideload Data tool will automatically match the column with the appropriate field. Before moving on to Step 3, make sure all rows are validated successfully. Then, select the blue “Continue to Step 3” button (Fig 4).

Step 3 - Check Data
You will see a preview of the data that will be sideloaded. After you confirm accuracy, select the blue “Save Data” button (Fig. 5).

Step 4 - Save Data
You will see a report of all data that was sideloaded. Green text indicates that the data was sideloaded successfully. Red text indicates that the data was not sideloaded and may require the use of the Import Data tool prior to using the Sideload Data tool.
Select the blue “Email Results” button to email yourself a copy of the report (Fig. 6).
