- Navigate to the Tasks page from the Education Harvester dashboard.
- If you are setting up a new Education Harvester with no existing tasks, you will see a screen prompting you to add tasks.
- Otherwise, select Add New Task(s) to begin.
Education Harvester Tasks are used to collect information from users. A wide variety of task types are available to support different data collection needs, including presentations, biographies, documents, permissions, and more.
Below are examples of frequently used Education Harvester tasks:

Task availability varies by Education Harvester level.
- Abstract/Keywords (Standard and Pro): Collect or confirm presentation abstracts, titles, and keywords. Users can edit this data before publication.
- Biography (All Levels): Collect user bios with optional word or character limits.
- Copyright/Permissions (All Levels): Ask users to accept or decline permission for the organization to use and share presentation files or recordings. Often paired with speaker confirmation.
- Download (All Levels): Provide users with downloadable documents or external links.
- Objectives (Standard and Pro): Gather learning objectives from users to help market session takeaways to attendees.
- Photo (All Levels): Collect user headshots or other images.
- Profile (All Levels): Collect contact details and professional info, including social media.
- Survey (Standard and Pro): Ask up to 10 questions using Free-form, Yes/No, or Multiple Choice formats.
- Upload (All Levels): Collect presentation files, videos, or handouts. You can specify file types and attach detailed instructions.
Adding a Task
To add a task to your Education Harvester, follow the steps below:

- To add tasks, select the checkbox next to the tasks you want to include and select Continue.

- Assign a due date for the selected tasks. This date can be adjusted later in the settings of each individual task if different tasks require unique deadlines.

After tasks are added, they will appear in the Inactive section on the Tasks page. Tasks remain inactive until they are individually activated and configured with necessary settings.
