Manage Printer Settings for Basic Badge Printing Onsite

The first time that you open the Basic Badging - On-site module for a meeting, you will be prompted to select how you would like to print your badges onsite:

  1. Not Printing through EdgeReg: Select this if you are either using a third-party service to print badges or you are not planning to print badges. This will allow you to use the On-site module without the print tools.
  2. Single Printer: Select this if all EdgeReg logins used onsite will print to the same printer. Every badge printed will go into one shared queue.
  3. Multiple Printers: Select this if each EdgeReg login may have a different printer assigned to it. Each badge printed will go into a unique queue per printer. More than one login may be assigned to the same printer.

If you select either Single Printer or Multiple Printers you will then be prompted to set up your printer(s) in EdgeReg.

  • Select “Add New Printer” next to the Manage Printers header and enter your settings for the printer:

Printer Name: The printer name is for your reference only. If you are using multiple printers onsite, we recommend naming them with a number in the system, and adding the corresponding number directly to the printer with tape or a label. That way you can quickly identify which printer queue in EdgeReg corresponds to which printer.

Label Type: Select the label type that corresponds to your badge stock.

Badge Template Type: Select the name of your badge template or choose one of the standard EdgeReg templates.
