Badging Options

PREREQUISITE

To use the badging options listed below, you must use EdgeReg Registration.

Cadmium offers two badging solutions that both require the use of Eventscribe Registration. Customers who would like to take advantage of Cadmium’s session scanning and/or lead retrieval features must select one of Cadmium's badging solutions.

Basic Badges

With the Basic Badge option, Registration offers the ability for event planners to design a badge layout for their attendees. There are many badge template sizes available through manual badging however a 4”x3” single sided badge is the most common (Fig. 1). The badges are generated as a PDF which can be printed on standard badge stock paper, via any desktop inkjet printer or laser printer by the event planner. This can be done all at once prior to the event or one at a time onsite at the registration desk. Basic badges are generally preferred for smaller events with manageable attendee totals.

On-demand Badges

With the On-demand Badge option, Registration offers the ability for planners to design a badge layout for their attendees and email a preview of the badge and a check-in QR code to attendees in a Know Before You Go message. Once onsite for the event, attendees scan the QR code at an on-demand badge printing kiosk to check themselves in and print their own badge using a Zebra badge printer. This modern and streamlined check-in and badging process requires minimal onsite support staff at the registration desk and provides event planners with real-time check-in data and reports. This data can be used during and after an event for attendee communication and advertising efforts for future events. Badge templates can be designed as either 4”x3” and 4”x6” badges which can be single or double-sided (Fig. 2). Currently, badges can only be printed in black and white, though color graphics can be pre-printed onto the badge stock.  On-demand badges are a great solution for events of any size and are highly recommended for events with larger attendee totals.
