Pre-Schedule Push Notifications

Launch the Mobile App module for your event.  Locate the "Push Notifications" icon in the Main Navigation bar at the top of the page.  Select the "ADD DRAFT NOTIFICATION" button toward the upper left-hand corner of the page (Fig. 1).

This will open the Push Notification Center (Fig. 2).  Type or paste the text for the title and message for the push notification.  Then, select the date and time for the message to be sent.  All push notifications must be scheduled in EASTERN TIME.  If your event is taking place in a different time zone, please be sure to calculate the respective send time in Eastern Time.  Choose if the notification will be sent to Apple devices, Android devices, or both.  Once complete, select the blue "Create Draft" button.

WARNING NOTE

The character limit for both the title and the message is 230 characters, though the character limit says 231.  Do not let the character counter reach zero.

Once you select "Create Draft," you will be taken back to the Push Notifications list page.  The notification you just created will appear in your "Drafts" bucket and has not yet been scheduled.  This notification will not be sent until has been scheduled.  Additionally, you will see the time the notification will be sent by our server, in Eastern

Time, and the respective time for your event's time zone.

To schedule this notification, expand the "Drafts" buckets and select the row for the notification.  Then, select the blue "Add to Schedule" button within the pop-up (Fig. 3).

This will move the notification to the "Scheduled Delivery" bucket.

WARNING NOTE

Scheduled notifications need to be scheduled AT LEAST 10 minutes in advance.

If at any time you need to edit the title, message, date or time, select the row for the scheduled push notification.  Then, select the blue "Edit" button to return to the Push Notification Center to make your desired changes (Fig 4).
