GL Code Fee Sections with Membership Included

Contact your project manager to let them know that your registration rates include the cost of membership. Your project manager will enable a rule (160) to add constituent fees to your fee sections.

  1. Once that is done, go to the Fee Schedule and select Fee Sections at the bottom.

For the example below, we have an attendee registration rate of $100. $80 of that cost should be allocated toward registration with the remaining $20 for membership.

  1. First, we'll click Add to create the fee sections.
  2. Enter the GL code into the Name field (including any description that you may want for your reference).
  3. Select the type of fee you will be adding to that fee section: Registration, Booth, Option, or Combo (if Combo, multiple types of fees will be available to add to the fee section).
  4. Then, click Save.

Once you click Save, the page will refresh to show the new fee section you've added. Repeat this process to create a fee section for each of the GL codes needed. In our example, we've created two--one for registration and the other for membership.

  1. Next, click Members to start adding fees to your fee section.

  1. Select a fee from the "Fee to Add" field and then click Add to add it to the section.

Repeat this process for each of the fee sections. In our example, the Attendee Registration fee was added to both the "1234-567-891 - Registration" fee section and the "1234-567-892 - Membership" fee section.

  1. Lastly, click Add Constituent Fees at the bottom of the Fee Section page to allocate the amount of the parent fee that belongs to each GL code.
  2. Select the Parent Fee from the field at the top (in our case, the parent fee is the $100 attendee registration rate).
  3. Select the first section that it belongs to and enter the amount for that section (in our case, the first section is "1234-567-891 - Registration" and the amount is $80).
  4. Select the second section that it belongs to and enter the amount for that section (in our case, the second section is "1234-567-892 - Membership" and the amount is $20).
  5. Then, click Add.

Please note

  • If your fee has multiple Good Until Dates with different price points, you will need to add each version of the fee to your fee section.

  • If you make a mistake, you can click the "X" button to the left of the fee name to remove it from the fee section.

  • If you add new fees to the fee schedule after you have set up your fee section, you will need to return to the Fee Sections page to add them as members to the appropriate GL code fee sections and to add their constituent fees.
