Eventscribe Release Notes

October 2023

In this month’s release, we fixed several bugs identified in the system. The release includes several different enhancements and new features including updates to Scorecard, Education Harvester, the Eventscribe Mobile App and Website and more.

Scorecard - Additional validation added when deleting submission categories

A confirmation message now appears when deleting a submission category: ‘Are you sure you want to delete? If submissions are currently assigned to this category, the data will be lost.’ This message was added to minimize the chances of a user mistakenly deleting a submission category.

Scorecard - Disclosure task comments can be marked as required

When a user selects ‘yes’ from a yes/no question in the Disclosure Task, the conditionally rendered comment box that appears was displaying but not was not requiring comments. This comment box is now required, and a validation message was added to let the user know that comments are required if they select yes.

Scorecard, Education Harvester – Shared worksheets no longer displaying in worksheet list

When duplicating worksheets in Scorecard and Education Harvester, the new worksheets were being shared across other customer’s worksheet lists. The shared functionality of these worksheets has been disabled and customers will no longer see worksheets that do not belong to their event.

Education Harvester – Eventscribe sync updated when user visibility setting is used

In the Education Harvester, there is a setting that Cadmium can set to allow presenters to display on the website once they have completed certain tasks. There was an issue with automatically syncing the presenters to the website and mobile app after the survey task was completed. Syncing functionality was added to the task’s achievement process to ensure users are pushed to Website and Mobile App immediately and the presenter visibility setting is working as expected.

Education Harvester, Mobile App - Running boost team members .zip file

When the boost add-on was enabled, running the team member .zip file in the Education Harvester to push users to the app caused an error. This occurred after the migration to AWS (Amazon Web Services). This .zip service was updated to run using a new file deployed in AWS.

Mobile App - Error when viewing exhibitor notes in personal summary

When logging into the mobile app (specifically reported for events with a login integration), clicking ‘My Notes’ and then ‘Exhibitor Notes’ resulted in an error. This was fixed and should no longer happen. Attendees should be able to view exhibitor notes in their personal summary section.

Mobile App - Info Pages now display in Mobile App for iOS devices

There was an issue with some characters being included in the info pages that was causing the pages not to load properly. The info pages now load and display for iOS devices as expected.

Mobile App - Polling page auto-refreshes to show polling questions when poll is started in Android devices

The polling page has been updated to automatically refresh to display the polling questions when a poll was started within a presentation. This issue was specific to Android devices.

Expo Harvester - Discount ‘# Left’ not updating when discounts were used

On the Discounts page, the ‘# Left’ column was not updated when a discount was used by an exhibitor. The ‘# Left’ column should now decrease accordingly if a discount has been used. This only applies to discounts used after the fix was deployed and is not retroactive.

Website - Session description not showing on Full Schedule page

On agenda-type website pages (specifically reported for the Full Schedule), for sessions without a moderator, the session description was not displayed. The session description will now show regardless of if the session has a moderator.

Magnet - .Zip files of Certificates Download Correctly

When a .zip file of multiple user certificates was downloaded through the users page, the resulting .zip file was empty. This has been fixed so that the .zip file contains the certificate for each user selected to be included in the .zip file.
