Best Practices for Using Walk-in Slides in Speaker Ready System

Speaker Ready System can easily distribute the same walk-in slides to every session room. Walk-in slides are typically displayed between sessions to share important conference information, highlight conference keynotes or vendor sessions, broadcast schedule changes or updates and invite attendees to special events. 

Please review this article to learn how to set up walk-in slides with Speaker Ready System.  

Below are some tips to successfully use PowerPoint to create walk-in slides to be used in Speaker Ready System. 

  • The walk-in slides presentation can include animations. All animations must be set to run automatically.
  • Enable the presentation to automatically advance your slides after a specified amount of time (Fig. 1).
    1. Select Transitions 
    2. Choose a slide transition option (if desired) 
    3. Under Advance Slide, select “After” and enter the desired amount of time 
    4. Select “Apply to All” to add the transition and time to all the slides.

CADMIUM RECOMMENDS

Select a 15-30 second auto advance time, depending on content on the slides.

  • Set the slide show to automatically advance and loop (Fig. 2). 
    1. Select Slide Show 
    2. Select “Set Up Slide Show” 
    3. Under Show options, check the Loop continuously until ‘Esc’ checkbox 
    4. Under Advanced slides, select “Using timings, if present 
    5. Select OK

Make sure to test your presentation to ensure that the transitions, auto advance, and looping settings have been set correctly.
