Cadmium Payments Reference Guide for Expo Harvester

With the limited release of Cadmium Payments into Expo Harvester, some customers will see changes to the Expo Harvester settings, task options, and payment workflows. This reference guide is intended to explain these changes. 

Updated Settings and Task Options 

Pay Later Settings and Instructions

When Cadmium Payments is enabled, the following pay later settings will no longer be available in Expo Harvester, as they are now supported in Cadmium Payments:

Payment Type Instructions: All instructions related to pay later options are now configured in Cadmium Payments. 

Payment Types: Pay later options are now configured in Cadmium Payments.

Exhibitors > Sponsor items

Payment Options: Pay later options are now configured in Cadmium Payments.

Payment Task

Accepted Payment Types: Pay later options are now configured in Cadmium Payments. 

Upgrade Task 

Accepted Payment Types: Pay later options are now configured in Cadmium Payments.

Depreciated Settings  

When Cadmium Payments is enabled, the following Expo Harvester settings are no longer supported within the application.  

General > Payments > Allow Electronic Check Processing (Authorize.Net) only

This setting has been deprecated, and we no longer accept Electronic Check Processing. It is encouraged to handle this process outside of the Cadmium system.  

Exhibitors > Rental Process > Payment Info > Setup Options: Accepted Credit Cards

This setting has been deprecated and will no longer restrict users’ credit card options. Instead, this must be configured at the merchant processor level.

Changes to Adding a Payment to a Company 

The process of adding a payment transaction to a company has been updated to include Cadmium Payments.  

Previously, when admin users clicked ‘Add Payment,’ a popup appeared with left navigation options (Credit Card, Check, Wire Transfer, Other). These options are now organized within a new details popup structure.

Changes to Transaction Categories

After payments have been made, transactions will continue to be logged on the company’s transaction page in Expo Harvester. However, a major change is that Pay Later transactions will now be recorded as ‘Future Payments’ rather than a specific payment mechanism.  

To accommodate this change, the ‘Future Payments’ Details popup has been updated, allowing admin users the ability to set both the payment mechanism and payment status for these transactions. For more information on this process, refer to this article.
