For example, you have asked your volunteers to select their t-shirt size so that you can provide them with a shirt identifying them as event staff.
After you have created a choice list question (a single-choice, radio button or drop-down question), you may need to make changes to the choices included in that list.
Adding a choice list option
You find out that the t-shirt provider can supply XXXL shirts and you would like to add that as an option in the list.
- Navigate to the User-defined Fields page and select the name of the choice list to open it.
- Select Add New Choice to add a new row to the bottom of the list.
- Enter XXXL as the Text and then click Save.
Deleting a choice list option
You find out thatthe t-shirt provider cannot supply XS shirts and you need to remove that choice from the list.
- Navigate to the User-defined Fields page and select Delete Choices next to the list you would like to update.
- Select the check box next to the XS option and then select Delete.
NOTE
If you delete a choice list option, you will no longer be able to run reports on the registrants who selected that option.
Rearranging choice list options
You decide to change the order of the items in the list so that the largest sizes are on the top.
- Navigate to the User-defined Fields page and select the name of the choice list to open it.
IMPORTANT NOTE
Since some registrants have already answered this question, you cannot rearrange the list order by updating the text in each row because this would impact the results of this question.
- Update the values in the order column so that XXXL comes first and S comes last. This changes the order of the items in the list without affecting the responses that have already been received.
Editing a choice list option
Your volunteers are not sure which size would fit them best so you decide to add measurements for clarity.
- Navigate to the User-defined Fields page and select the name of the choice list to open it.
- Since this change will not impact the results of this question, you the choice text without affecting the responses you have already received you can update the Text column for each choice and then click Save.
